"Certificate, signed by J.M. Forbes, U.S. Vice-Consul at Foningen to the effect he has known of Mssrs John B. Murray & Son, they are U.S. citizens engaged in extensive commerce in N.Y. City, and had told him last spring they were loading ship Egeria, Capt. Richard Law, for this port and St. Petersburg, but plans were changed, ship going directly to Russia."
